In addition to the subsisting risk mitigants that ensure the clearing and settlement process is default-proof, CSCS established the Settlement Guarantee Fund (SGF) as a last resort residual default risk mitigation mechanism. Currently, the fund size of the SGF is a modest N133million but capital market stakeholders intend to increase the fund size exponentially, towards strengthening the capacity of the Fund to serves its purpose.
