Peter Medunoye is vastly experienced and renowned for financial planning, corporate finance, asset and liability management, banking operations, business strategy, taxation, business performance, control and compliance across different industries such as banking, insurance, pension, capital markets, and trustee business. He is versatile in both private and public sector businesses.
As an accomplished and result oriented finance professional, Peter holds enviable records in financial accounting, innovative management, business re-engineering, leadership, people management and bankruptcy prediction research over a period of two decades.
Mr Medunoye is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Central Securities Clearing System Plc. Prior to his appointment, he was the Group Financial Controller of Custodian Investment Plc. He worked as Financial Controller at the Nigerian Stock Exchange after his previous experiences at Access Bank Plc and Diamond Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc). Beyond his private sector experience, Peter has complimentary public sector exposure at director level. He served as the Assistant Director of Finance and Investment at Lagos State Pension Commission where he was instrumental to the establishment of sound and sustainable finance and investment policies along with operating procedures for the efficient management of the State’s Pension Fund.
Peter holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Management from Cranfield University, United Kingdom and a B.Sc degree in Accounting from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria; a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, United Kingdom; and an Associate Member of Nigeria Institute of Management.
He has attended several management programs both locally and internationally on Leadership, Financial Strategy, Competitive Strategy, Mergers & Acquisition, Anti-money Laundering and the Oxford Private Equity Course of the Oxford University, United Kingdom.
Peter is a scholar practitioner with a rich mix of experiences and exposures finely split between professional practice and theory. As part of his voluntary contribution to professional development and the body of knowledge, he teaches for some respected business schools and Universities as adjunct faculty.
